Designed by Dickerson of Devonport for the sum of £20. In 1914, the figurehead was transferred from the original 'Indefatigable' to her replacement. When the school moved on shore at Plas Llanfair on Anglesey, the figurehead remained there until its restoration in 1994.
Vessel history
A 4th rate, 50 guns launched in 1848 at Devonport, loaned by the Navy as a training ship in 1864. She was moored in the River Mersey and trained boys as merchant seamen. The ship was broken up in 1912.
