Designed by Hellyer's for the sum of £10.
Vessel history
A wood screw corvette 21 guns, launched at Sheerness in 1856. She was stationed in the Mediterranean from 1859 to 1863 and on the China station from 1863 to 1867. In that year she joined the Flying Squadron and with them sailed via the Cape of Good Hope to Australia and Japan, going on to join the Pacific squadron based at Esquimalt, Vancouver Island. She returned to England via the Straits of Magellan in 1873 and was sold in 1882.
