Description
A three-quarter-length figure of a knight in 16th century armour and helmet. The figure has a large moustache and long hair. It terminates in drapery below the waist.

Designed by Hellyer for the sum of £10.
Vessel history
A wood screw, steam corvette launched in 1858 at Woolwich Dockyard. In 1862 she took part in operations against Mexico to secure repayment of debt, undertaken in concert with France and Spain. She was the flagship on the Australian Station between 1866 and 1870. In 1872 she was sent to conduct oceanographic research world-wide. A receiving hulk from 1880 in the River Medway, she was acquired by Castles' for breaking up in 1921.
