Vessel history
A 1st rate ,100 gun ship built at Plymouth Dockyard in 1820. During the Crimea War, she was the flagship of Sir James Deans Dundas. She was used as a hospital ship at Portsmouth in 1855 and training ship from 1859, latterly at Dartmouth. The vessel was broken up at Devonport in 1869. Her replacement at Dartmouth, HMS 'Prince of Wales', was renamed 'Britannia'.
