Vessel history
A 835 ton wood paddle dispatch vessel, launched at Chatham in 1863. She was stationed in China during 1865 when boat crews from his ship and from Janus were involved in a skirmish with Chinese pirates and with Malay pirates in July 1874. As part of the Mediterranean fleet in 1878, she took part in a show of force to prevent Russia occupying Constantinople. She was detached from the Channel Squadron and sent to Alexandria immediately following the bombardment of city in 1882. The following year 1883, she was broken up at Sheerness.
